With the installation of a gigabit connection to Lit San Leandro, the second floor of West Gate Center has received a great deal of attention lately. With 350,000 square feet of flexible, affordable space for innovators and entrepreneurs, West Gate is poised to bring a new generation of “makers” to San Leandro. But, of course, San Leandro has always been a place that takes pride in manufacturing. With all the buzz about the future, now is a great time to take a look back at the building’s origin as a Chrysler/Dodge plant.
