It’s that special time of year again when the streets of San Leandro come alive with the spirit of celebration, community, and culture. From long-standing traditions to brand-new experiences, 2025 is shaping up to be a vibrant year in Downtown San Leandro—and you’re invited to be part of the fun!

The events are made possible with support from the Downtown San Leandro Community Benefit District (aka the San Leandro Improvement Association or SLIA), the City of San Leandro, event Sponsors, and many other community partners and volunteers. Established in 2013 and funded by commercial property tax assessments, the Downtown Community Benefit District plays a critical role in keeping downtown clean, safe, and welcoming. Celebrate MEXIPINO on Friday, May 9th, with Downtown San Leandro & West Coast Makers!
The San Leandro MexiPino Fiesta is an event showcasing Mexican and Filipino food, vendors, art, music, and more! Located at 222 Davis Street in San Leandro, this community event invites visitors of all ages.

May 9: Mexi Pino Fiesta:
Back by popular demand for a third time, the San Leandro MexiPino Fiesta is an event showcasing Mexican and Filipino food, vendors, art, music, and more! There will be a beer garden, live Banda music and dancing, performances by the AAPI march team, and kids’ activities. Presented by West Coast Makers Markets and the Downtown San Leandro Community Benefit District. Located at 222 Davis Street in San Leandro, this community event invites visitors of all ages.

San Leandro Cherry Festival 2025

June 7: The 113th Annual Cherry Festival – Almost Here!
One of San Leandro’s most beloved traditions, the Cherry Festival, returns for its 113th year on Saturday, June 7th! This signature event draws tens of thousands of locals and visitors alike to enjoy a day full of community pride, delicious food, exciting vendors, and entertainment for all ages. The lively parade sets the tone, followed by live music stages, games, and cherry-inspired treats that highlight San Leandro’s agricultural roots. Whether you’re a longtime fan or a first-time attendee, the Cherry Festival is a must for your summer calendar. Come out and enjoy on June 7th from 11am-6pm.

2ND FRIDAYS Spring Fling NIGHT MARKET

New for 2025: Second Fridays
Adding even more flair to the calendar is the debut of Second Fridays, a monthly downtown event that— every second Friday! Explore a fun mix of food trucks, art displays, music, and interactive experiences that shine a spotlight on San Leandro’s creative side. It’s the perfect way to enjoy a weekend evening out with friends or family.

Thanks to the dedicated work of the Downtown San Leandro Community Benefit District (CBD), West Coast Makers Markets, and the City of San Leandro, a stellar roster of events is set for the year. Here’s a sneak peek:

Fresh Every Week: The Downtown San Leandro Farmers Market
Already in full swing, the Downtown Farmers Market is your weekly stop for farm-fresh produce, irresistible food vendors, live music, and community connection. The Farmers Market is held every Wednesday from 3 PM to 7 PM now through October at the Downtown Library (300 W Estudillo). This open-air market offers everything from locally grown fruits and veggies to artisan snacks, music and information booths. Bring a tote, grab a bite, and soak in the midweek magic downtown!

Downtown Ambassadors – Keeping Downtown Clean and Safe

Cleaning Ambassadors, dressed in green, work hard every day to pressure-wash sidewalks, remove graffiti, and keep public spaces clean. Meanwhile, Safety Ambassadors in blue help maintain a secure environment through regular patrols, business check-ins, and public safety support. If residents or businesses need assistance or notice an issue of concern Downtown, they are encouraged to call the Ambassador Services Help Line, available seven days a week at (415) 404-8463.
