Public Meeting on the Proposed Development of Pescador Point
The City of San Leandro is hosting a public meeting on Thursday, November 5, 2015 from 6:30 PM until 8:00 PM at City Hall, 835 East 14th Street, in the South Offices Conference Room. The purpose of this meeting is to discuss the design and recreational uses for the approximately 2 acre area on Pescador Point that is being redeveloped as part of the proposed Shoreline Development Project. The area is envisioned to include an approximately 2,000 square foot Aquatic Center, a 250 square foot boat storage area, and a small boat ramp for hand powered watercraft.
This area is being designed to promote aquatic based recreational uses at the shoreline, such as kayaking, paddleboarding, dragonboating, and sailing. Interested users are encouraged to attend and provide input and ideas as it pertains to the final design and uses for this portion of the Shoreline Development Project. City staff and Cal-Coast, the project developer, are interested in hearing your ideas on how to activate this space to serve the community. If you are unable to attend, but would like to send comments, please email cbattenberg@sanleandro.org.
You may find information about the Shoreline Development Project, which includes a new hotel, conference center, restaurants, housing, office space, a new library and community center as well as a pedestrian bike path around the entire perimeter, on the City of San Leandro website: http://www.sanleandro.org/depts/cd/shoreline/default.asp
