Third Annual OkDROberfest in Downtown San Leandro on Saturday, September 13

On September 13, from 12PM until 6PM, the Downtown San Leandro Community Benefit District is hosting the third annual Okdroberfest: a traditional beer garden-style celebration in the parking lot at Washington and West Juana Avenues (100 W. Juana Avenue).

Okdroberfest is part of a series of monthly events hosted by the Community Benefit District throughout the year, but one that builds on the history of Sausage and Suds – the annual event that celebrated San Leandro’s legacy of brewers and sausage makers until 2018.
There will be traditional beer garden music and family-friendly activities. Music will be provided by BlowMusik, and Deutscher Musikverein for an authentic Oktoberfest feel. The costume contest is back, so don your best Lederhosen or Tyrolean dresses! The San Leandro Education Foundation is also hosting a professionally run corn-hole tournament (no experience needed to enter!).

There will be beer available from Drake’s Brewing, and 21st-Amendment Brewery. Fieldwork Brewing is also opening their taps at their nearby storefront.
Beer pours are $8 and are available only in the commemorative Okdroberfest stein which can be ordered for $25 (including two pours) or $40 (including four pours). Pre-event sale of the steins end on September 11, so buy yours now in order to skip the line at the event! Bring your 2023 or 2024 Okdroberfest Stein and only pay for pours!

Back by popular demand, the stein-holding competition comes with a $35 entry fee, which includes a souvenir stein and a 1-liter pour. If you forget to order ahead of time, don’t fret, steins and pour tickets will be available for sale on-site at the event. Ein Prosit der Gemütlichkeit!
