Visit Your Favorite Asian Restaurants this Week for “A Taste of Asia”

The San Leandro Asian Community Cultural Association, in collaboration with the Oakland Chinatown Chamber of Commerce, will celebrate Asian restaurants with “A Taste of Asia” from May 10–17. The event features more than 30 restaurants, including 19 in San Leandro, highlighting the rich and diverse flavors of Asian cuisine across San Leandro and Oakland during Asian Heritage Month. It’s fun and easy to participate:

  • Pick up or print a “Taste of Asia” Passport Card
  • Visit and get a stamp at least five
  • submit your completed passport for a chance to win a $500 prize

In San Leandro, an afternoon or evening stroll down East 14th Street, will offer the opportunity to try a plethora of different participating restaurants within a short distance. Guests could also try one of San Leandro’s KQED featured restaurants like DAO Artisan Noodle. Head out to the Manor neighborhood for a bowl of delicious Pho at Pho GA 88 or try Baby Cafe in the Marina Faire shopping center. Craving sushi? Try Rock and Roll Sushi in the Floresta neighborhood, then for dessert head over to T4 for a delicious boba drink in downtown.

This week, visit your longtime favorites and try something new. Guests are invited to explore a wide variety of dishes, from comforting bowls of savory noodle soup and fresh sushi to handcrafted baked goods and specialty teas. Gather your friends, family, coworkers, or neighbors, and dine out to celebrate “A Taste of Asia”!
