A Plan to Attract the Future of Industry

San Leandro has kicked off the implementation of the 2024 Economic Development Strategy with the completion of the Innovation Action Plan.

The Economic Development Strategy is a 10-year plan to grow San Leandro’s economy, expand the City’s regional image and identity, spur new investment and high-quality jobs, and improve the quality of life for residents. It outlines key action steps that will implement the strategy – beginning with the Innovation Action Plan.

Completed in May 2025, the Innovation Action Plan is a forward-thinking roadmap designed to attract and retain cutting-edge businesses and position San Leandro as a rising hub for technology and industry in the Bay Area.

Building on that vision, the Innovation Action Plan identifies San Leandro’s unique strengths and lays out strategic initiatives to grow its innovation ecosystem, enhance infrastructure, and foster partnerships with industry leaders.
